Travelling to Brecon

Transport for Wales operates the following services to Brecon:

  • T4 Service: Connects Cardiff to Newtown, passing through Brecon. This route offers a scenic journey into the heart of the Brecon Beacons.

  • T6 Service: Runs from Swansea to Brecon via Neath, Ystradgynlais, and Abercrave, providing access from South Wales to the festival. 

Both services operate seven days a week, with hourly departures from Monday to Saturday and a reduced schedule on Sundays and bank holidays. For the most up-to-date timetables and fare information, please visit the 

By Train

While Brecon itself doesn’t have a train station, nearby stations include:

  • Abergavenny: Accessible via the Cardiff to Manchester line.

  • Merthyr Tydfil: Served by trains from Cardiff.

From these stations, you can connect to Brecon via the X43 or T4 bus services respectively.
